I say performing rather than live art because ‘performance’ has entered much of my work yet it was not until 2006 that I actually performed live in front of an audience.  Now, I am thinking about the lecture format as a performance, and here I say performance as a play on theatre because a back and forth between the academic (lecture) and the theatrical (performance) forms much of my PhD research.

Me Against The Music (2006 & 2008) An improvised dance piece commissioned for ‘Just For Fun’, reprised at CalArts.

Dancer ‘A’ (2007) A collaboration with Anachron Gen, I was invited to create a dance for camera that the members of Anachron Gen responded to.

Assembling My Critical Tools (2010) A recreation of the performance / lecture I delivered at Newcastle University 2010.  Paper is viewable as a PDF under ‘Writing’.  Excuse the police siren, I will clean the audio when I get the chance!
